"It's a cyclamen," said Bubbles, who had looked it up in the flower book he had brought out with him. "Isn't it lovely?"
They actually found more flowers as they looked round. There was another cyclamen - this time with white flowers. There were some yellow and white hellebores with deep purple markings. There were still a few jasmine flowers on a bush - that had been in flower all winter so they didn't count that as a sign of Spring.
There were other plants, too, which had lots of buds on them if you looked closely enough. Some of those would unfurl to become new leaves rather than flowers. Everything around the bears was suddenly confirming their wish that Spring would soon be here.
Have a look around your garden, or go for a walk in the park, or the countryside, and see how many buds and flowers you can spot. Spring will soon be here! Hurrah!
