But Scary eventually persuaded them to move on. A bit further along, and it was Tommy's turn to spot something. On the bark of another tree stump, someone had carved a picture of a squirrel eating a nut! It was really good.
This was beginning to be a very interesting walk! Teddy then spotted another carving - this time of a horse's head and a dog's head. They were great!
A bit further on, and Boo and Crackers shouted and laughed in great delight! "Look, look - come and see what we have found!" In a spot under some trees, there were several carved, wooden bears, looking most lifelike! They were on private land but Scary had checked with the owners in advance (the other bears thought he must have been plotting this walk for quite some time) and they had agreed that they could all run over for a closer look.
