Henry decided that maybe this year he needed to make a plan for his gardening calendar so that he didn't fall behind with his busy sessions of sowing seeds, pricking out, potting on and planting out his favourite fruit and vegetables. Last year he had ended up planting things a bit too late and they didn't have time to grow properly. Even worse, he had sown things too early and they had been destroyed by a late frost! He didn't want that to happen again this year.
Harry wasn't really keen on making any New Year Resolutions. He said that being the Bear On The Stair for the whole of last December had worn him out and he didn't have the energy left to be thinking what he wanted to do this year! However, the other bears decided that he had done such a good job before Christmas that they would allow him a little more time to make his resolutions.
