New Scarves

I don't think the bears have ever told anyone how they came to own their lovely scarves which you see them wearing in lots of pictures. It all happened when the weather had been quite cold and windy stopping them wanting to go outside and play. Scary said that it would be alright if they had nice woolly scarves to wear - they would keep the bears warm!

Bubbles said that he could knit one, but what would everyone else do? They decided that they could all learn to knit and then make their own scarves.

Bubbles said he would teach them and he set about finding knitting needles and choosing the colours of the wool he wanted for his scarf.

Bubbles knit his scarf first, and everyone watched and learnt how to do the same. Then they all chose their own colours and tried knitting for themselves!

Crackers found it very hard to begin with and kept dropping stitches and not being able to pick them up again without help from Bubbles. Luckily he didn't have to count the number of rows he knit as well - he simply kept trying the scarf out around his neck until it was long enough!
