"Oh, yes, please!" James shouted. He was so eager to find out what his discovery was that he ran straight to the door, waiting for Scary to open it for him (he wasn't quite tall enough himself to reach the handle).
"Wait a minute!" called Scary. He knew that, although it was warm standing inside by the window where the sun was shining in, it would still be very chilly out in the garden. "First of all we'll need to put our scarves on - it will be cold outside."
James gave a long sigh. But he knew Scary was right and he ran back to find his warm, woolly scarf and wound it round his neck. When all the other bears saw James putting his scarf on, they asked where he was going. When they found out it was for a trip into the garden with Scary, they asked if they could go too. "Of course you can - the more, the merrier!" he said. "We're going to investigate something I've seen from the window," he explained.
