Garden Planning
Choosing Seeds
They made a big pile of all the packets and then somehow they needed to decide which ones to actually grow.
Flowers Versus Vegetables
It was very difficult because the bears loved all of them! Teddy suggested that they should first each pick one particular flower or vegetable that they liked best. That would be the one which they would be personally responsible for - watering them, feeding them, and making sure they grow up into healthy plants. That was a bit difficult, but they all managed to find something they preferred.
Edward chose a particular sunflower (though he said the other bears could of course share them with him) because he liked its name best - see if you can find the name in the photos and work out why it was his favourite!
Edward Chooses A Sunflower
Another reason was because, unlike sunflowers the bears have grown previously, this one didn't grow too tall, and so they reasoned that the plants would be just the right height for the bears to see the flowers without having to climb up any ladders!!
