Even though the weather has been a bit windy and wet this week, when the sun did shine one afternoon, Scary asked if the bears wanted to go out for a walk. Of course, having been stuck inside for days, they all jumped at the chance to get outside.
He took them to a quiet lane in a nearby village and suggested that, this time, they actually looked around themselves as they walked because he was sure that they might find some interesting things along the way! Normally the bears run ahead, laughing and shouting, and jumping around, but this time they followed Scary's suggestion and walked much more slowly and looked around carefully, much more than they usually do.
It was Bubbles who spotted something first. He called the others over to look at what he had found. It must have once been a very tall tree but the top had been chopped off, leaving only a big stump - but that stump had been carved into the shape of a huge eagle, with hooded eyes and a big, curved beak.
