Luckily, as it was a lovely day, the older bears had gone outside to enjoy the sunshine and watch the hunt, so they helped the younger bears climb up into the big pots, or held their paws while they reached over for an egg hidden in the hollow of a tree.
If the bears found an egg of the wrong colour, they left it in place for its rightful owner to find. Gerry spent most of the time being side-tracked by the lovely perfume of the flowers.
