Halloween Party
Party Planning
A Read-Along Activity
The teddy bears have been planning their Hallowe'en party for this weekend. They've had lots of discussions about what they want to do, and whether they are going to make some more decorations (you will remember that last year they made a whole host of scary (not you, Scary!) spiders and this year they have made a load of batty bats!)
What they are all agreed upon is that they would have a party. They would invite their friends and ask them to come in costume.
On the food front, they are thinking about having tomato soup (because it looks like blood - ugh!) and perhaps some gorgeous spider web cupcakes. They also need to have some garishly coloured drinks, and perhaps they can decorate the straws too!
As well as a prize for best costume, they want to play some games too, so they may try apple-bobbing again, and they've made a version of 'Pin The Tail On The Donkey', except that it is now called 'Pin The Tail On The Black Cat!'
There's also the chocolate guessing game, which sounds like a game they will absolutely love! Edward has filled a glass jar with chocolate smarties and everyone has to guess how many are in it. Whoever wins gets the jar of smarties! Hopefully Edward will have remembered to make a note of how many he put in it in the first place! And also that he is not allowed to have a guess!
And another game the teddy bears really enjoy, though it is a little bit messy, is the doughnut game. Doughnuts are hung up on pieces of string and each bear has to try to eat all of their doughnut while it swings around on the string. They have to keep their paws behind their backs the whole time!
They hope you are planning a party too - feel free to copy any or all of the teddy bears' ideas or make up some of your own! Have a lovely Hallowe'en Party!
