Easter Cards
Painting Easter Cards
A Read-Along Activity
The teddy bears love to colour in pictures. They also love to make their own greetings cards for each other. They had already made Christmas cards last year, and Valentine's Day cards just a few weeks ago, and now it was nearly Easter! They decided to colour in some Easter cards from blanks which they downloaded from the internet. They especially looked for cards which had bunnies and ducklings on them because they were their favourites.
Once they had printed out the blank cards, they ran off to find all their colouring equipment. Some of the bears liked to use coloured pencils, others liked to use wax crayons, and some liked to use paint.
They arranged everything on a big table and all took seats around it. They were very quiet for a long time whilst they concentrated on doing their very best colouring. Some of the little bears found it hard to keep their colouring inside the outlines of their pictures, but that gave the cards an extra charm.
The bigger bears, especially the ones who were painting, could mix their own colours, and add extra interest to their pictures by using different brush-strokes.
They had a break after a while as all that concentrating had made them thirsty and very peckish!
Suitably refreshed, they finished their pictures and started on new ones, until they had whiled away the whole afternoon!
If you would like to colour in your own Easter cards, you can download some blank pictures here. Or, if you wanted, you could even try drawing your own cards. Have fun!
